Behaviour & Conduct
High expectations for behaviour are central to our school culture.
Our Behaviour Philosophy
At Daffodil Grammar School for Girls, we believe that good behaviour is not just a set of rules — it is a reflection of character. We expect our students to conduct themselves with adab: respect, kindness, and integrity, at all times.
Our behaviour policy is built on high expectations, clear boundaries, consistent application, and restorative approaches. We aim to address behaviour in a way that is fair, transparent, and focused on learning and growth rather than punishment alone.
Our Expectations
- Respect for all members of the school community — students, staff, visitors
- Punctuality to school and to lessons
- Full engagement with learning at all times
- Wearing the correct uniform
- Honesty and integrity in all academic work
- Responsible use of school resources and facilities
- Kind and considerate conduct towards peers
Sanctions and Support
Where behaviour falls below expectations, we use a graduated approach. Minor issues are addressed at the classroom level. Persistent or serious concerns are escalated to senior staff and parents/carers are involved at an early stage.
Exclusions are used only as a last resort. We are committed to working with students and families to resolve issues constructively.
